We are incredibly proud to introduce Amrita Cinecraft (ACC) – a heartfelt mission, a bold movement, and a transformational platform dedicated to the growth and global recognition of the Kannada film industry.
Why ACC?
The idea of ACC was born from a deeply personal vision – to give back to our roots, to our land, and to the incredible talent that Karnataka has nurtured for generations. Over the years, we’ve seen the brilliance, passion, and potential within the Kannada cinema ecosystem. Yet, due to a lack of consistent support, modern infrastructure, and global marketing sensibilities, this brilliance often remains under the shadow of other regional industries.
We asked ourselves – Why should the stories from Karnataka not reach the world stage? Why should the dreams of our creators remain limited by budgets, reach, or lack of exposure?
And that’s how ACC was envisioned – as a production, marketing, and distribution powerhouse, engineered to redefine how Kannada cinema is made, released, and celebrated.
The Challenges We Saw
The Kannada film industry has immense creative depth, but it also faces systemic challenges:
- More than 25% of projects get stalled, due to funding issues or lack of distribution.
- Many great films fail to reach audiences simply because they don’t have the right marketing.
- Emerging talent – both in front and behind the camera – struggle to find the right launch platform.
We experienced this imbalance firsthand and felt a deep responsibility to change it.
